Once you’ve added your card to Apple Pay, you can start using your card to make payments at the MRT or bus gantries.
When you are on the lock screen of your phone, you can double tap the side button or the Home button. This depends on which iPhone model you are using.

When you are near the MRT or bus gantry, you can use your Face ID or Touch ID to authenticate the purchase.
If your iPhone cannot detect your face or fingerprint, you can use your passcode to authenticate the purchase too.

Singapore currently does not support Apple Pay with Express Transit. However, you still can use Apple Pay to pay for your bus or MRT rides, by authenticating the purchase with either Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
The Express Transit mode is available in countries like China, Hong Kong or Japan. In these countries, you are able to pay your public transport fare without needing to authenticate the purchase.
However, SimplyGo in Singapore does not support this Express Transit mode. You will need to authenticate the purchase before it goes through.
This may be slightly more troublesome. However, you’re still able to use your iPhone or Apple Watch to pay for your MRT and bus rides!
