If you own some USDT, you may be looking to send it to your Trust Wallet.
However, there are 5 different versions of USDT that Trust Wallet supports:
- EVM-compatible (ERC20, BEP20, and MATIC)
- TRC20
- SOL
Here’s a guide on how you can do so:
How to send USDT to Trust Wallet
Here are 3 steps to send USDT to your Trust Wallet:
- Select a platform that enables USDT withdrawals via these networks
- Obtain the USDT deposit address from Trust Wallet
- Send USDT from the platform of your choice to Trust Wallet
Here is each step explained further:
Select a platform that enables USDT withdrawals via these networks
The first step you’ll need is to find a platform that supports USDT, and you are able to send USDT to Trust Wallet via the EVM-compatible (ERC20, BEP20, and MATIC), TRC20, and SOL networks.
Here are 5 platforms for your consideration:
Platform | ERC20 Fee | TRC20 Fee | SOL Fee |
---|---|---|---|
Binance | 10 USDT | 1 USDT | 1 USDT |
Crypto.com | 25 USDT | N/A | 1 USDT |
FTX | 0 USDT | 0 USDT | 0 USDT |
Gate.io | 5 USDT | 0 USDT | 2 USDT |
AAX | 8 USDT | 1 USDT | 0.5 USDT |
You may notice that the only platform via which you may not be able to send the TRC20 version of USDT to your Trust Wallet is Crypto.com.
Moreover, FTX charges the cheapest fees for all USDT withdrawals.
Obtain the USDT deposit address from Trust Wallet
When you are on the homepage of your Trust Wallet, you will need to tap on ‘Receive‘.
Trust Wallet will now show you all the tokens that you can deposit onto their platform. You will need to search for USDT, and it will bring up all versions of USDT.
Depending on which network you want to send USDT to your Trust Wallet, you can tap on it and it will give you the corresponding deposit address.
If you intend to deposit USDT via the Ethereum network (ERC20), your wallet address would start with ‘0x‘.
You may want to note that the deposit address for the BEP20 and MATIC networks also starts with ‘0x’, as these networks are EVM-compatible.
However, If you intend to deposit USDT via the TRC20 network, your wallet address neither starts with ‘bnb‘ nor ‘0x’.
This also applies for the SOL network.
You may want to note that you can only send the SOL version of USDT to this address. Sending other coins to this address may result in permanent loss.
Send USDT from the platform of your choice to Trust Wallet
After you have copied the deposit address from Trust Wallet, the last step would be to send USDT from the platform that you’ve selected previously.
In this example, I will be using Binance to send USDT.
If you are sending USDT via the ERC20 the address should start with ‘0x‘, and you can choose to transfer it out.
After pasting the address, Binance automatically determines the type of network that will be used (ERC20).
However, if you are using the TRC20 network to send USDT to Trust Wallet, your address neither starts with ‘bnb‘ nor ‘0x’.
This also applies for the SOL network.
Once you have confirmed the transaction, you will be able to receive USDT in your Trust Wallet.
Conclusion
When you are sending USDT to Trust Wallet, you are able to send it to 5 networks:
- EVM-compatible (ERC20, BEP20, and MATIC)
- TRC20
- SOL
For Trust Wallet, your balances from these networks are segregated. This means that if you want to withdraw USDT from your Trust Wallet in the future, you will need to use the same network that you’ve originally used to deposit it in.
