If you own some USDC, you may be looking to send it to your Trust Wallet.
However, there are 5 different versions of USDC that Trust Wallet supports:
- EVM-compatible (ERC20, BEP20, and MATIC)
- TRC20
- SOL
Here’s a guide on how you can do so:
How to send USDC to Trust Wallet
Here are 3 steps to send USDC to your Trust Wallet:
- Select a platform that enables USDC withdrawals via these networks
- Obtain the USDC deposit address from Trust Wallet
- Send USDC from the platform of your choice to Trust Wallet
Here is each step explained further:
Select a platform that enables USDC withdrawals via these networks
The first step you’ll need is to find a platform that supports USDC, and you are able to send USDC to Trust Wallet via the EVM-compatible (ERC20, BEP20, and MATIC), TRC20, and SOL networks.
Here are 5 platforms for your consideration:
Platform | ERC20 Fee | TRC20 Fee | SOL Fee |
---|---|---|---|
Binance | 10 USDC | 1 USDC | 1 USDC |
Crypto.com | 25 USDC | N/A | 0.9 USDC |
FTX | 0 USDC | 0 USDC | 0 USDC |
Gate.io | 5 USDC | N/A | N/A |
AAX | 17.97 USDC | 2 USDC | 2 USDC |
You may notice that the only platform via which you may not be able to send the TRC20 version of USDC to your Trust Wallet is Crypto.com.
Moreover, FTX charges the cheapest fees for all USDC withdrawals.
Obtain the USDC deposit address from Trust Wallet
When you are on the homepage of your Trust Wallet, you will need to tap on ‘Receive‘.
Trust Wallet will now show you all the tokens that you can deposit onto their platform. You will need to search for USDC, and it will bring up all versions of USDC.
Depending on which network you want to send USDC to your Trust Wallet, you can tap on it and it will give you the corresponding deposit address.
If you intend to deposit USDC via the Ethereum network (ERC20), your wallet address would start with ‘0x‘.
You may want to note that the deposit address for the BEP20 and MATIC networks also starts with ‘0x’, as these networks are EVM-compatible.
However, If you intend to deposit USDC via the TRC20 network, your wallet address neither starts with ‘bnb‘ nor ‘0x’.
This also applies for the SOL network.
You may want to note that you can only send the SOL version of USDC to this address. Sending other coins to this address may result in permanent loss.
Send USDC from the platform of your choice to Trust Wallet
After you have copied the deposit address from Trust Wallet, the last step would be to send USDC from the platform that you’ve selected previously.
In this example, I will be using Binance to send USDC.
If you are sending USDC via the ERC20 the address should start with ‘0x‘, and you can choose to transfer it out.
After pasting the address, Binance automatically determines the type of network that will be used (ERC20).
However, if you are using the TRC20 network to send USDC to Trust Wallet, your address neither starts with ‘bnb‘ nor ‘0x’.
This also applies to the SOL network.
Once you have confirmed the transaction, you will be able to receive USDC in your Trust Wallet.
Conclusion
When you are sending USDC to Trust Wallet, you are able to send it to 5 networks:
- EVM-compatible (ERC20, BEP20, and MATIC)
- TRC20
- SOL
For Trust Wallet, your balances from these networks are segregated.
This means that if you want to withdraw USDC from your Trust Wallet in the future, you will need to use the same network that you’ve originally used to deposit it in.
