Milieu Surveys – How Long Does It Take To Earn $20? (Review)

With the Milieu Survey app, it is very possible to do so!

However, how much can you actually earn and is this survey app worth your time?

What is Milieu?

Milieu is a consumer research company.

They offer 2 products to their potential customers:

1. Creating surveys
2. Consumer profiling

Milieu conducts surveys on the company’s behalf, helping them to gain valuable consumer insights.

As such, Milieu acts as a middleman that helps companies to find the right consumers they wish to survey.

In return, you will receive points for doing these surveys. These points can be redeemed for certain rewards too. Milieu also posts articles which share certain insights about the data they have analysed.

Usually, these are from the questions that you answer at the end of each survey.

How does the surveys work?

From time to time, you will receive a notification when a survey is available.

If a survey is available, you are able to start it.

You are able to see:

1. The potential points that you can earn
2. The expected time required for the survey

The number of points that you earn usually depends on the number of questions you answer.

If you do not fit the profile of what a company is looking for, you may not qualify for the full survey. As such, you may receive lower points.

Moreover, if the survey quota has been reached, you will be unable to do the survey.

Some of the questions are multiple choice questions.

While others can be open ended.

The user interface is fantastic and makes it really easy for you to answer the questions on the go.

However, this doesn’t mean that you can skip through the survey quickly!

Milieu does have some attention questions that they will put throughout the survey.

If you entered the wrong answer for these questions, you will receive a friendly warning.

If you answer more of these questions wrongly, you may no longer receive future rewards or surveys.

As such, please be careful when you’re answering these questions!

You are able to see the progress bar on the top. This will help you to see how many points you’ve earned so far.

At the end of the survey, you’ll be asked some engagement questions.

These questions are usually about current trending issues in Singapore.

You will be able to see the results of these questions too.

After that, you will see your balance after the points have been credited.

After accumulating some points, you will be able to earn a points boost too.

This will help you to earn more points per survey!

What rewards can I earn by doing surveys on Milieu?

So after earning all of these points, what can you claim from them?

They are able to credit your cash reward via PayNow, which is really convenient.

How much can I realistically earn each month?

If you’re thinking about making a side income with Milieu, you might have to think twice.

Here are some of the reasons why:

1. You will most likely be able to only do one survey a day
2. There will be days when the survey quota is reached before you did the survey
3. The points you earn from each survey varies very widely

As such, it is very hard to earn a stable return from Milieu.

The points you earn can vary from 80 all the way to a 1,000 points. This depends on the length of the survey, and how much the company is willing to pay.

Let’s assume that you earn 300 points a day on average, and are able to do a survey everyday.

To earn the $20 PayNow reward, it will take you 62 days (2 months) to earn it!

The rewards you get from doing surveys on Milieu can only help to supplement your income.

Is Milieu legit or a scam?

You might be worried that Milieu might be a scam.

However, I’ve received my PayNow transfer from them after claiming the reward.

I claimed my reward on 18 July,

And received the reward on the 24th.

I’ve only claimed one reward from Milieu so far. However, they did keep to their word and credited the reward within 10 working days.

Milieu has received substantial funding from investors

Moreover, Milieu has received funding from 2 seed rounds.

Milieu received funding from MassMutual Ventures Southeast Asia. This allowed Milieu to expand from Singapore into 4 other Southeast Asian countries:

2. Indonesia
3. The Philippines
4. Vietnam

With this kind of credibility, I would assume that it’s safe to say that Milieu is pretty legit.

Data privacy issues

The surveys that Milieu provides you may ask for certain information about yourself. This helps companies to create better profiles about their customers.

As such, these companies will be able to provide better products and services for you.

You may be concerned about how your data is being analysed by Milieu. However, they claim that your data is completely anonymous and it is only reviewed on an aggregated basis.

Conclusion

Milieu is an engaging survey app as the questions are very interesting. Moreover, the user interface makes it really easy to answer questions.

However, the points that you can earn each day are really limited. There are days where you are unable to do any surveys as well.

As such, you should not be expecting to earn a substantial income from this app!

Nevertheless, it still is a great way to earn some money while you’re on the bus or MRT.
