If you own some BUSD, you may be looking to send it to your Trust Wallet.
However, there are 3 different versions of BUSD that Trust Wallet supports (ERC20, BEP20, BEP2), and it can get quite confusing!
Here’s a guide on how you can do so:
How to send BUSD to Trust Wallet
Here are 3 steps to send BUSD to your Trust Wallet:
- Select a platform that enables BUSD withdrawals via the ERC20, BEP20 or BEP2 networks
- Obtain the BUSD deposit address from Trust Wallet
- Send BUSD from the platform of your choice to Trust Wallet
Here is each step explained further:
Select a platform that enables BUSD withdrawals via the ERC20, BEP20 or BEP2 networks
The first step you’ll need is to find a platform that supports BUSD, and you are able to send BUSD to Trust Wallet via these 3 networks:
- ERC20
- BEP20
- BEP2
Here are 5 platforms for your consideration:
BEP2 | BEP20 | ERC20 | |
---|---|---|---|
Binance | 0.5 BUSD | 0 BUSD | 25 BUSD |
Crypto.com | – | 5 BUSD | 100 BUSD |
FTX | 0 BUSD | 0 BUSD | Depends on network congestion |
Gate.io | – | 5.9 BUSD | 26 BUSD |
AAX | – | 2 BUSD | 18 BUSD |
You may notice that the cheapest way to send BUSD to Trust Wallet is via the Binance Chain (BEP2). Moreover, FTX charges the cheapest fees for both BEP2 and BEP20 withdrawals.
One thing you may also want to note is that Trust Wallet has separate account balances for these 3 versions of BUSD.
This is different from exchange platforms like Binance, where all of your BUSD balances are consolidated into one. It does not matter which network you use to send BUSD to Binance, but it does matter when you send it to Trust Wallet.
Obtain the BUSD deposit address from Trust Wallet
When you are on the homepage of your Trust Wallet, you will need to tap on ‘Receive‘.

Trust Wallet will now show you all the tokens that you can deposit onto their platform. You will need to search for BUSD, and it will bring up the 3 versions of BUSD (ERC20, BEP20 or BEP2).

Depending on which network you want to send BUSD to your Trust Wallet, you can tap on it and it will give you the corresponding deposit address.

You may notice that the ERC20 and BEP20 deposit addresses are actually the same. This is because the Binance Smart Chain is a fork of the ERC20 network.
If you intend to deposit BUSD via the Binance Chain (BEP2), your wallet address would start with ‘bnb‘, and no memo is required!

Send BUSD from the platform of your choice to Trust Wallet
After you have copied the deposit address from Trust Wallet, the last step would be to send BUSD from the platform that you’ve selected previously.
In this example, I will be using FTX to send BUSD.
If you are sending BUSD via the BEP20 or ERC20 networks, the address should start with ‘0x‘, and you can choose either way to transfer it out.

The ERC20 version of BUSD is the native version of BUSD, while the BEP20 is a Binance-Peg version of BUSD. You can read more here to find out the differences between them.
However, if you are using the BEP2 network to send BUSD to Trust Wallet, your address will start with ‘bnb‘.

Furthermore, no memo is required when you are sending from FTX to Trust Wallet!
Once you have confirmed the transaction, you will be able to receive BUSD in your Trust Wallet.
Conclusion
When you are sending BUSD to Trust Wallet, you are able to send it via 3 networks: ERC20, BEP20 or BEP2.
This is different from sending BUSD to other platforms like Blockfi, where you can only send BUSD via the ERC20 network.
For Trust Wallet, your balances from these networks are segregated. This means that if you want to withdraw BUSD from your Trust Wallet in the future, you will need to use the same network that you’ve originally used to deposit it in.
It would be best to avoid sending BUSD via the ERC20 network, as the transaction fees can be quite high!
