While the Tron network adopts the ‘TRC20’ standard, it is actually not EVM-compatible!
As such, you won’t be able to send and receive TRC20 tokens on EVM-compatible-only wallets like Metamask.
Here’s a guide on which wallets support the TRC20 network, and which ones do not:

Conclusion
As TRC20 is not an EVM-compatible network, you will need to find a Multi-Chain wallet or a wallet that only supports the TRC20 network to receive TRC20 tokens.
