Add Mines of Dalarnia DAR To Metamask And Trust Wallet

Last updated on May 3rd, 2022

You may want to transfer DAR tokens from the Mines of Dalarnia to your Metamask wallet and Trust Wallet.

However, you will need to import DAR as a custom token to your Metamask or Trust Wallet.

Here’s what you need to know.

How to add DAR to Metamask on the Ethereum network

Here are 4 steps to add DAR to Metamask on the Ethereum network:

  1. Go to Metamask and ensure that you are using the Ethereum Mainnet
  2. Select ‘Import Tokens’, and then ‘Import Custom Token’
  3. Copy the Ethereum contract from CoinMarketCap
  4. Double check that DAR is detected and select ‘Add Custom Token’

You can check out this video guide here:

Alternatively, you can view the text guide below:

Go to Metamask and ensure that you are using the Ethereum Mainnet

The first thing you’ll need to do is to ensure that you are using the Ethereum Mainnet on Metamask.

Metamask Select Ethereum Mainnet

This is the default network for all Metamask wallets. However, you are also able to connect Metamask to other blockchain networks, such as:

  1. Polygon
  2. Fantom
  3. Binance Smart Chain
  4. Avalanche

As such, do remember to be on the Ethereum Mainnet before moving on to the next step.

Select ‘Import Tokens’, and then ‘Import Custom Token’

Once you’re on the Ethereum Mainnet, the next step will be to select ‘Import Tokens‘.

Metamask Select Import Token Ethereum

If you try to search for DAR using the Search function, you aren’t able to import it using this method.

Metamask Search For DAR

Instead, you will need to go to the ‘Custom Token‘ section.

Metamask Select Import Custom Token

Copy the Ethereum contract from CoinMarketCap

For the next part, you can go to the DAR page on CoinMarketCap.

I prefer using CoinMarketCap to obtain the contract address, as it is one of the most reliable sites with regards to cryptocurrencies.

It is important that you ensure that the site where you’re obtaining the contract address from is a credible source!

There is a section called ‘Contracts‘, where you’ll see the Ethereum contract for DAR.

DAR CoinMarketCap Ethereum Contract

On CoinMarketCap, you are able to add either the Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain (BEP20) versions of DAR to your Metamask wallet.

You can click on the contract and it will be copied to your clipboard.

Double check that DAR is detected and select ‘Add Custom Token’

Once you’ve copied the Contract Address, you can paste it in the ‘Token Contract Address‘ field in Metamask.

Metamask DAR Autofill ETH

If you pasted the correct contract address, DAR should automatically appear as the Token Symbol.

After selecting ‘Add Custom Token‘, you will need to confirm importing DAR one more time.

Metamask DAR Confirm ETH

Once you’ve successfully imported DAR to your Metamask wallet, you should see it as one of your assets under the Ethereum Mainnet.

Metamask DAR Added ETH

This will allow you to view any DAR that you’ve deposited via the ERC20 network!

The same process can be done for adding DAR to the Binance Smart Chain

You are able to use the same process to add DAR to the Binance Smart Chain.

First, you’ll need to ensure that you are on the Binance Smart Chain on your Metamask wallet.

Metamask Select Binance Smart Chain

If you have not set up the Binance Smart Chain on your Metamask wallet, you can check out this step-by-step guide here.

After copying the Binance Smart Chain contract from CoinMarketCap, it should autofill it under the ‘Import Token‘ function.

Metamask DAR Autofill BSC

How to add DAR token to Trust Wallet

To add DAR to your Trust Wallet, you will need to select the Menu icon and select ‘Add Custom Token‘. Afterwards, you will need to enter either the Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain contract address for DAR to your Trust Wallet.

First, you will need to go to the menu button on Trust Wallet.

Trust Wallet Select Menu Button

If you search for ‘Dalarnia‘, you will come up with no results.

Trust Wallet Search For DAR

As such, you will need to add DAR as a custom token instead.

After copying the ETH contract address from CoinMarketCap, you can paste it to Trust Wallet, and it will autofill as the DAR token.

Trust Wallet Import DAR ETH

You can do the same for the Binance Smart Chain, but you’ll need to switch the network to ‘Smart Chain‘ first.

Trust Wallet Select Smart Chain

After pasting the Binance Smart Chain contract for DAR, you should get the same result.

Trust Wallet Add DAR BSC

In this way, you will be able to add both the Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain versions of DAR to your Trust Wallet.

Conclusion

DAR can be added to your Metamask wallet or Trust Wallet either via the Ethereum network or the Binance Smart Chain.

For both wallets, you will need to import DAR as a custom token.

After adding and receiving your tokens to your Metamask wallet, you can consider using decentralised exchange (DEX) aggregators, including:

Since both platforms are DeFi aggregators, they will ensure that you will get the best rates for any swaps that you make!
